PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Richard O'Brien, Founder of Lights Out Colorado, will present a brief overview of the past several years of Lights Out Colorado activity.  He'll discuss the website (https://lights-out-colorado.darkskycolorado.org/), the logo and other promotional efforts, the  work with the Colorado Governor's office, and the advocate email list.  The program has benefited greatly from collaboration with Denver Audubon, Audubon Rockies, and various other Audubon organizations. Lights Out Colorado research work has included the study "Measuring Sky Glow Over the Colorado Front Range" and the National Science Foundation Growing Convergence Research project led by Colorado State University's Aero Eco Lab.
