WHERE: Broemmelsiek Park Astronomy Viewing Area, 1615 Schwede Road in Wentzville. 

PROGRAM: Light pollution is known for compromising health, disrupting the ecosystems and spoiling aesthetic environments. Join #SCCMOParks Ranger Rachael Meara to learn how you can make a difference at this one-hour presentation at the Broemmelsiek Park Astronomy Viewing Area, 1615 Schwede Road in Wentzville. We’ll explore the effects light pollution has on nocturnal animals and stargazing. Bring a blanket and telescope. The unique astronomy viewing area has 10 concrete viewing stations equipped with electric to accommodate the latest telescopes. Pre-registration is required to attend these free evening programs:
